Post hoc is assuming that because situation B came after situation A that situation A caused situation B... I went to my friends house today and got in a wreck on my way home. Therefore, every time I go to my friends house I am going to get in a wreck.
False Cause – identifying an improper or unrelated cause for an observed effect....ex- Two classmates got sick right after the basketball game; therefore, the basketball game must have made them sick.
False Authority- when the arguer uses something said by a person of authority and tells the audience they must agree with the higher authority because they are always right. An example is a that someone says a famous actor said the a certain candidate for election was the best choice.
